At Givens Pursley our main focus is representing clients, but that’s not our only involvement with the law or our only work in our areas of specialty. Our lawyers often are asked to give lectures and present papers to educate other lawyers and professionals such as engineers, scientists, land planners, government agencies and developers. Several of our lawyers occasionally write peer-reviewed papers for law journals, treatises and other publications. Some of our publications—such as our Handbooks on water law, land use, ethics and road law—began as way to catalogue, for our own benefit, the basic principles and latest legal developments in these fields. But the Handbooks have grown, and have come to be recognized as a valuable resource for our clients, for government officials, and for other lawyers. So now the Handbooks are used widely outside the firm. This portion of our website contains a sampling of these publications which can be downloaded in pdf format. We hope you find them useful.
