Marcus is an associate with a wide-ranging litigation practice in federal and state court. Before joining Givens Pursley, he spent two years as a federal law clerk for Judge B. Lynn Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. During his clerkship, Marcus worked on complex civil matters, including class action lawsuits, constitutional challenges, and property disputes. He also worked on many criminal cases.

A fifth-generation Idahoan, Marcus studied law at the University of Idaho College of Law. While there, he served as the Chief Articles Editor of the Idaho Law Review. He also participated in several internships, including for the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic where he helped entrepreneurs form new businesses and protect their intellectual property. In recognition of his academic success, Marcus received the Alumni Award for Excellence.

When not working, Marcus can be found traveling with his wife, exploring Idaho’s backcountry, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends.
